Window cleaning method

The right method for every window.

Outside glass gets a pure water exterior system. Inside glass gets traditional detailing. Frames, sills and tracks get wiped. Access and equipment are chosen for the home, not whatever's in the van.

Pure water exterior system. Outside glass is cleaned with deionised water through a fed-pole, designed to dry without detergent residue and streak-free when conditions and the glass allow. Reaches windows ladders can't safely.

Traditional detailing inside. Inside glass is hand-detailed with squeegee and microfibre, the best finish for indoor light and close inspection.

Frames, sills and tracks. Window frames and sills are wiped as standard. Accessible tracks are wiped or vacuumed where included in your scope. Heavy build-up, mould, paint or construction dust in tracks may need extra time or a quote. Ranch sliders and glass doors included.

Safe access and the right gear. The team brings poles, squeegees, microfibre cloths, and ladders where appropriate. We don't put cleaners on roofs or anywhere unsafe.

Final check before sign-off. Before the team leaves, glass is checked for streaks, residue and missed edges. Anything off gets re-done on the spot.

Wellington's hill villas in Kelburn, Thorndon and Mount Victoria are full of high sashes on steep, tiered sections, and the pole reaches most of that glass safely from the ground, no ladders leant against the house and no one on the roof. If a window on a really steep site is genuinely beyond safe reach, we'll flag it before the day and quote it properly.
It depends on your street. Homes near the water, whether that's Island Bay to the south or the run of eastern bays out past Miramar, catch salt off the sea air, and that returns to the outside glass sooner than an inland, sheltered street would. The bush-backed hill suburbs like Karori and Khandallah collect tree sap, pollen and shaded-side grime instead, and the city's humidity leaves a haze on shaded and south-facing panes that clears once we clean the glass. Wherever you are we clean it to the same finish, and homes in the exposed spots tend to book exterior cleans a bit more often to stay on top of it.
Frames and sills are wiped as standard, and accessible tracks are wiped or vacuumed where they're in your booked scope. In Wellington that matters more than most places: the damp breeds mould in bathroom frames and the timber sills of older villas, and the tracks on ranch sliders catch a lot. Heavy build-up, established mould, paint or construction dust in tracks can need extra time or a quote, so tell us at booking and we'll let you know.

No. For exterior-only cleans you don't need to be home at all. For interior or both, tell us at booking how the team gets in, key, lockbox or entry code, and for a Te Aro or waterfront apartment any building fob or intercom, and we'll handle it.
Light rain usually isn't a problem for the pure water exterior system, the glass still dries clean. A strong southerly is more likely to stop us: when the wind makes working the pole on exposed or high sites unsafe, we'll reschedule as soon as we can.
Yes. Window cleaning can be added to a house clean, deep clean or end-of-tenancy booking, which is how a lot of Wellington flats and family homes handle it in one visit. Add it when you book and it shows on the same job for the team.
We can handle most builder's dust and light paint overspray on glass, common work after the villa do-ups and townhouse builds happening right across Wellington, but post-renovation jobs vary a lot. Send a few photos first: silicone, hard-water staining, heavy adhesive residue or thick paint flecks can need specialist handling, and we won't scrape glass where it risks scratching without the right assessment. We'll tell you whether the job fits a standard booking or needs an onsite quote.
