A little about Kumeu.
Kumeu sits in Auckland's northwest, around twenty-five kilometres from the city on the road out toward Helensville. It's wine country, one of the oldest winegrowing areas in Auckland, with vineyards and lifestyle blocks spread across the rural land around a small but growing town. The homes range from large houses on acreage and vineyard properties to established town homes and the new subdivisions going in as the area expands.
The town centre sits on the main road through Kumeu and Huapai, with the Kumeu showgrounds nearby hosting the markets and the annual show. Wineries dot the surrounding roads, and the rural blocks run out toward Riverhead, Taupaki and the forest.
