A little about Henderson.
Henderson is the commercial and civic heart of West Auckland, around twelve kilometres west of the city, with the town centre, the mall and the main shopping strips at its core. The housing runs the full range: older and post-war family homes, a growing number of townhouses and apartments near the centre, and larger properties on bigger sections as you head up Henderson Valley toward the foothills of the Waitākere Ranges. It's one of the most diverse and busiest parts of the west.
Great North Road and Lincoln Road carry most of the traffic, with WestCity and the Henderson town centre, the library and the train station all close together.
