A little about West Harbour.
West Harbour sits on the upper Waitematā Harbour in the northwest, around eighteen kilometres from the city, next to Hobsonville and Massey. It is a newer, mostly modern suburb that grew up around its marina, with brick-and-tile and executive family homes on the rises above the water, waterfront properties down by the harbour, and townhouses filling in around them. A lot of the streets have a harbour outlook, and the water shapes the whole place.
The marina is the heart of it, with boats, walkways and the harbour right there, and Don Buck Road and Hobsonville Road connecting the suburb to Westgate, Massey and the motorway.
