A little about Epsom.
Epsom sits about five kilometres south of the city centre on the central isthmus, between Mt Eden, Newmarket, Remuera, Greenlane, One Tree Hill and Three Kings. Wealthy Aucklanders built large country homes here from the 1860s, the tram arrived in 1903, and by the 1920s most of the farmland had become suburban streets. Over the last few decades, townhouses have filled in where the bigger sections were split.
