A little about Newmarket.
Newmarket sits just south of the city centre, wedged between Parnell, Grafton, Remuera and Epsom, and it is best known as Auckland's main shopping and fashion district. Most of the residential side is apartments and townhouses clustered around the retail core, with Westfield Newmarket and the boutiques of Broadway and Nuffield Street at the centre of it. Head a few streets out and it shifts to the older villas and bungalows that lead into Remuera and Epsom.
Broadway runs the spine, with Nuffield Street and Teed Street for the boutiques and cafes, the Rialto cinema and the Olympic Pools both on the strip, and Newmarket Station tying the trains together.
