Garden Maintenance NZ
A garden that stays looked after.
Garden maintenance is how weeds, leggy shrubs and leaf-filled beds stay off your to-do list. Spruce keeps on top of it with regular visits or a one-off tidy: weeding, pruning and clearing, so the garden looks cared for all year. Tell us about it and we'll send a price.
Lawns, hedges and clean-ups, all in one place.
Garden maintenance is the regular care. Lawn mowing, hedge trimming and clean-ups are here too, booked on their own or on the same visit.
Garden care that fits the garden.
Some gardens need an hour every fortnight. Others need a solid day twice a year. Tell us what yours is like and we'll suggest the visit that keeps it looking right.
One-off tidy
A catch-up for a garden that's got ahead of you, before visitors, or at the change of season.
- Beds weeded
- Shrubs trimmed and shaped
- Edges cut and paths swept
- Green waste taken away
Regular maintenance
A visit every week, fortnight or month, doing the jobs that stop a garden getting away.
- Weeds out before they seed
- Pruning at the right time of year
- Leaves and debris cleared
- Lawns and hedges on the same visit
Seasonal jobs
The bigger jobs that come round once or twice a year.
- A spring tidy and fresh mulch
- Autumn leaf clearing
- Perennials cut back
- Bark or mulch spread on beds
Small jobs, done often, save the big ones.
Most garden problems start small: a weed left to seed, a shrub not cut back after flowering, leaves left to rot on a path. Regular care catches them early.
Weeds out before they seed. Pulled or dug out by the root where we can, so fewer come back next time.
Pruning at the right time. Shrubs cut back after they flower, not before, so you don't lose next season's show.
Beds edged and mulched. Clean edges and a layer of mulch or bark keep weeds down and hold moisture in over summer.
Leaves and debris cleared. Paths, decks and drains kept clear of leaves, so nothing turns slippery or blocks up.
Everything taken away. Green waste bagged and taken with us, not left in a heap behind the shed.
What a garden visit includes.
Every visit is built around your garden, but these are the jobs that make up most of it. Anything else, ask and we'll price it.
What garden care costs.
Gardens vary even more than houses, so we price yours rather than guess. Tell us about it and we'll send a price before anything's booked.

Access
Steps, slopes and narrow paths add time.
Mulch and bark

A few photos by text or email help us price it faster.
